LSFD Members were dispatched just after 6:00 pm to 425 Oberlin Road for a Commercial Structure Fire. Chief 59-1(D. Phillips) arrived on scene and immediately upgraded to a first alarm with a working structure. Description of the building was a 2 story chicken coup with fire on the second floor through the roof with some exposures.
Engine 59 with a crew of 6 (Lt. Briner), Tanker 59 with a crew of crew of 3(Capt. Taylor) were the first units responding followed by Rescue 59 with a crew of 3 (FF. Forrester). Both Utility 59 and 59-1 also responded. Chief 59 (J. Weikle) and Chief 59-1(D. Phillips) responded directly to the scene. In total 19 LSFD members responded on this incident.
Units were on scene for approx 5 hours.
