On Saturday, September 7th at approximately 23:30hrs, FDLS and mutual aid were dispatched for a reported structure fire on Balls Lane in Lower Swatara Township. Tanker 59 responded minutes after dispatch with 6 members along with Chief 59, Chief 59-1, and Engine 59 with a crew of 4. Tanker 59 arrived with smoke showing from a mobile home and an occupant still inside. Crews escorted the occupant out as a line was stretched. Interior crews found an active fire on the stove which was quickly extinguished. Crews checked the area around the stove, finding minimal extension. Control was marked quickly, holding Company 59 units for smoke removal from the home. Company 59 units returned to service at 00:23 hrs.
