This evening around 21:00 the company was dispatched to the 49-3 box for a multi-residential structure fire. E59-1 was out in 2 minutes with 6, followed directly by T59 with 2. E41 went on the scene with smoke showing and found fire in the basement which was quickly extinguished. E59-1 took the third in engine company assignment and stood by a secondary hydrant. T59 staged a half block over. Once command determined that an additional water supply was not needed, E59-1 was ordered to side A and manpower to the manpower pool. The crew from E591 was assigned to air monitoring and ventilation until the building was clear. Units were released around 22:45.
