This weekend FDLS members participated in a Pump Operations One class hosted by Lower Swatara Fire Department and was taught by one of FDLS’ own Richard Myers.
Instructor Myers taught the basics of pump operations, drafting operations, and hydrant operations.
Classroom work consisted of elements of pump pressure requirements consisting of friction loss, appliance requirements, and components that make up a fire pump.
The class was attended by members of Lower Swatara, Steelton, Highspire, Middletown, Londonderry Twp, and others.
