On October 10th from 6pm to 8pm, Lower Swatara Fire Department held their Open House for Fire Prevention Week inviting the public to come and meet FDLS members as well as other members in the emergency services field from around the area.
Adults and children were able to learn about the various roles emergency providers play in the service of the public good as well as learn important information about safety and fire prevention.
Fire engine rides, fire hose practice, fire extinguisher practice, as well as fire tower rides were just some of the attractions that attributed to a successful night.

Special Thank you to Middletown Fire Dept, Londonderry Fire Dept, Swatara Fire Dept, Harrisburg International Airport Fire Dept, Steelton Fire Dept, Life Lion EMS, Dauphin County Sheriff’s Dept, Lower Swatara Police Dept, Special Unit 66 Search and Rescue, UGI, and the Lion’s Club for making this a successful night.
