Today, we received the last progress report for Tanker 59! The final pieces of hardware are being installed along with the graphics. The Tanker is to be completed this Thursday, January 18th. The apparatus committee will travel to Pierce's facility in Appleton, WI on Monday and Tuesday of next week to conduct the final inspection of the apparatus. After that, the punch list will be completed and the rig will make the long trip home to Central PA. It will then go to Glick Fire Apparatus and finally to Specialized Fire Equipment to have items mounted. The department will then conduct in-house training for all drivers and firefighters to become familiar with the apparatus. We are hoping to have the rig in service by March.
