The drill was part of the larger Wide Vigilance VI exercises under PEMA. Companies participating in the drill: Lafayette Fire Co. Lower Swatara is new to the task force and enjoyed the opportunity to train with the existing members. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.

While crews were participating in the drill, Rescue 59 was dispatched to Steelton Borough for a 1st alarm structure fire. Chief 50 arrived on the scene of a 3 story duplex with fire showing from the 3rd floor windows. Rescue 59 arrived and reported to the command post for an assignment. Rescue 59 was assigned to the 3rd floor of the fire building to finish overhaul. Rescue 59 remained on the scene assisting crews until the event was cleared by Chief 50.
