The Lower Swatara Township Volunteer Fire Department is offering for sale by sealed bid a 1978 Mack CF Engine with a 6-man enclosed cab, 1250 gpm (NOT CERTIFIED) single stage Waterous pump, and a 500 gallon water tank. The unit is powered by a Mack E285 motor with a 4 speed automatic transmission.

The unit has a current inspection with the fluids/filters changed in the fall of 2016. The Lower Swatara Township Volunteer Fire Department is the original owner of this unit. The unit currently has 75,921 miles. The original steel tank was replaced in 1982/1983 with a poly-tank. The original canopy cab was modified in 1993 making it fully enclosed. A rehab was performed in 2003 with the following work being done: remove rust, new paint, upgrade the pump intakes to 6" to increase pump capacity from 1000 gpm to 1250 gpm.

*ALL BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS BY 12:00 PM ON FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 2017.
No bids will be accepted by anyone else at any other location past the date and time posted above. NO EXCEPTIONS.

*The bids will be opened at the Lower Swatara Township Volunteer Fire Department's monthly business meeting scheduled for 7:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2017.

*The winning bidder must pay the Lower Swatara Township Volunteer Fire Department in FULL with CASH OR A CERTIFIED BANK CHECK. NO EXCEPTIONS.

*The winning bidder is responsible for paying all taxes and fees associated with having the title of the unit transferred to their name.

*The winning bidder will have until 5:00 pm on Friday April 21, 2017 to have made the payment in full, completed the transfer of the title, and to have removed the vehicle from the fire department property.

*The Lower Swatara Township Volunteer Fire Department reserves the right to disqualify any and all bidders for failure to comply with any or all of the above stated conditions. In the case of the highest bidder being disqualified, the next highest bidder shall be awarded the unit based on the bids that were opened on Monday April 3, 2017.

*The unit is being sold as is
